Grandview Park
Accessibility
Low Sensory Tent is located at the Northeast corner of the park, facilitated by LET’S (Live, Educate, Transform, Society). Low sensory decompression space with activities and sensory support will be available at this tent.
Accessible pathways are along the site. Please note there are areas of uneven ground, gentle slopes and curb ramps at William Street/Commercial Drive and Cotton Drive/Charles Street that are not properly aligned with curb ramps on the opposite street.
HandyDART drop off zone is located in the Charles street loading zone next to accessible parking.
All booths are accessible except Xpressions Henna (Booth #26). Staff/volunteers will help move the henna artist to an accessible location when needed. Booth 12 will have scented products, there are alternative pathways to the site that bypass booth 12.
All washrooms are gender neutral. One accessible toilet stall is available — please be considerate by using the other washrooms if you are able.
Water stations are available at the park. Folks need to bring their own refillable water bottle/container.
Viewing zones are available. They are reserved for those with access needs. Priority is given to Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, Low Vision, and those requiring interpreters.
ASL interpreters are available at the east corner of the stage.
Service animals are permitted on site and have a designated area at the east shade tent.
Scent Reduction Policy is in effect. Avoid wearing perfume and strong scents as much as possible.
Masks are not required, but available at the Information Booth for those who want them.
Designated Assistants are available at our Information Booth and Viewing Zones.
