Accessible Viewing Areas
There will be two accessible viewing zones at the Festival site. The accessible viewing area by the main stage will include:
Raised, flat platform with view of the stage

Seating (various seating types, chairs with arms, chairs without arms, chairs with soft seats etc.)

First Aid
There will be First Aid staff trained in First Aid at the tent on the site. All of the Vancouver Pride Society staff will have Naloxone training prior to the event. First aid stations are located next to Accessible viewing areas at the festival and are staffed by Odyssey First aid and St. John Ambulance.
Security
The security company, Genesis will be onsite for the entire duration of the event. If you are experiencing security issues, please contact a VPS staff member onsite. VPS staff will be wearing light blue t-shirts and a black or white Vancouver Pride branded bucket hat. They will also have access to a radio.
Public Transport
The event will not obstruct Translink bus stops. Here are some routes to the Science World and Concord Park:
Public transport: Main Science Skytrain and Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain
7 mins walk from both stations, Main Science Skytrain station and Stadium - Chinatown station
Parking & Street Closures
There are paid parking lots and street parking available adjacent to the event site.
Curb lane along Pacific Blvd will be used as an Uber/Lyft drop off and pick up zone during the hours of the Festival.
Pacific Blvd from Nelson St to Carrall St will be closed for the duration of the Parade on August 6th from 10:00am-4:00pm. Traffic will be normal outside of those times.
Shade and Shelter
There will be shade tents and umbrella coverage around the event site.
Low Sensory Zone
There is a dedicated low sensory zone in Zone 2 of the event site. It is on a raised grassy area and will also be a designated sober zone. The low sensory zone will be presented in collaboration with LETS (Live Educate Transform Society) Some other organizations included in this zone who will have booths there are: Canucks Autism Network, Out on the Shelves Library and Storytelling with Drag Queens Foundation.
Sensory Aids
Fidget toys are available at the low sensory zone and at accessible viewing areas.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at the event.
Washroom:
Washrooms: Gender neutral portable washroom facilities will be available. The unit door width is 31.7" (830mm) and the seat height is 19" (521mm). Accessible seating areas will have dedicated accessible portapotties.
Scent Reduction
Scent Reduction Policy in effect. Avoid wearing perfume and strong scents as much if can.
Masks
Masks are not required. Available at check-in table for those who want them
Tables & Seating
Various seating options are available. There have accessibility areas at the festival
Payment Options
Different options from vendors take credit, debit and cash available.
Mobility
The majority of the event site is on a flat, paved surface. Areas that are on grass have accessible access ramps and/or temporary flooring for mobility devices.
Wayfinding
Wayfinding signage will be displayed throughout the site, and to direct people to and from the Main Street/ Science World and Stadium/Chinatown Skytrain stations. No braille signage.
