SkipTheDishes Supports Vancouver Pride

On August 4, SkipTheDishes was thrilled to march in the Vancouver Pride Parade in support of the LGBTQAI2S+ community and as part of their ongoing partnership with Pride Vancouver.

“For the past two years, we’ve partnered with Pride organizations across Canada and it’s always an honour to have our teams on-the-ground with members of the LGBTQAI2S+ community,” says Kristoff Hunter, Events & Activations Lead at SkipTheDishes. “I’ve been a part of many Pride Parades across the country and I’m always inspired by how the community comes together to support and celebrate one another.”

The SkipTheDishes team could be found in the Pride Parade alongside their enormous float adorned with a giant hamburger, hot dog, and milkshake bubble machine, feeding on the positive energy of the Pride atmosphere. Hunter says that the activation team was proud to march alongside so many others and be part of a celebration that works towards making the world a more inclusive place.

“Not only does our partnership help support Pride Vancouver’s goal of promoting visibility for the community, but we can help support everyday community initiatives that empower LGBTQAI2S+ folks year-round,” Hunter says.

In the month leading up to the parade, Skip ran a marketing campaign that donated $1 for each redemption of a unique Pride Vancouver voucher code. Skip is proud to have donated $8500 to Pride Vancouver as part of their ongoing commitment to empowering diversity and inclusivity across the nation.
