Rainbow Crosswalk Vandalism

We will not stand down! As some of you may be aware, the #RainbowCrosswalk at Davie and Bute was shamelessly defaced on July 1. Vancouver Pride Society takes this action extremely seriously and we want to ensure people feel safe to celebrate LOUD and PROUD this Pride season. We will reach out to the City of Vancouver to get the Rainbow Crosswalk repainted immediately.

We understand that this action may have come as a shock and it certainly did to us but it is important to show strength and resilience so we can keep each other safe. This vandalism is not enough to hurt our community if we stand together and take care of each other.

Please know that we will always ensure a safe environment at all of our events, which includes de-escalation protocols and a strong security plan.
