Youth Pride Party: Join the Queer Inclusion team on Parade Day for our free pride party for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth! Inside, we’ll have fan making, poster making, button making, nail painting, board games and more! We will also set up an area in front of the centre where we can come outside and celebrate and cheer as a group as the parade rolls past. Email us at qyouth@vancouver.ca to reserve your spot. Drop-ins are welcome if the viewing space isn’t full.
Low Sensory Room provided by Canucks Autism Network (11:30am-3pm). Guests wishing to access this space can find it inside Roundhouse Community Centre Room C. Volunteers at the Info Tent (Davie St at Pacific Blvd) can help to direct you.
Reserved seating and shade areas
Folks requiring an accessible seating option to enjoy the parade are welcome to check in at the Info Tent (Davie St at Pacific Blvd) from 11am. Space is limited so arriving before noon is recommended.
Seniors shade area (11am-3pm). Hosted by Amica Canada, this area includes shaded seating, water and snacks in close proximity to washrooms and commentary from Vancouver Pride Parade’s emcees. Check in at the Info Tent to access this space from 11am onwards.
Seating options: chairs are a mixture of basic plastic folding chairs and plastic bistro-style. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs to be used in any of the zones listed above while space permits.
Heat precautions: Please bring a water bottle and sun protection with you. Water refilling is available inside Roundhouse Community Centre and David Lam Park (by the washrooms). Arrive early to find a shaded area for parade viewing. Please notify a staff or volunteer if you need support.
First Aid: Multiple first aid locations are available along the parade route.
Public transport: Skytrain is the recommended public transport option for accessing the parade route. Yaletown Roundhouse station (www.translink.ca) is a 1 minute walk (65 metres) from the parade route. Yaletown Aquabus dock (TheAquaBus.com) is a 6 minute (400 metres) walk from the parade route. Please contact Aquabus directly for information on stroller and wheelchair-accessible routes.
Parking: A very limited number of parking stalls are available on a first come first served basis. Check in at the Info Tent (Davie Street at Pacific Blvd) at 11am to obtain a pass. This must be displayed on your dashboard for the duration of the event.
Scent policy: VPS aims to minimize the use of scented products at event venues to accommodate individuals with scent sensitivities or allergies. Staff, volunteers and guests are encouraged to use fragrance-free or low-scent products, vendors selling highly scented products will be placed in areas where an alternative route can be taken to avoid them. As Vancouver Pride Parade takes place as an outdoor and public setting, it is not possible for us to guarantee a completely scent-free experience.
Mask Policy: Please stay home if you are feeling unwell. Vancouver Pride Parade is an outdoor event. There will be a mask mandatory tent reserved for folks wishing to experience the parade in an area where masks are required by all using the space. Check in at the Info Tent (Davie Street at Pacific Blvd) from 11am to access this tent. Please note that other sections of the street and viewing zones do not require guests to wear a mask, including the Info Tent.
